Mortal Kombat X review
Mortal Kombat X review
Mortal Kombat X is a fighting video game, which according to many players worldwide is by far one of the best Mortal Kombat versions of all times. It’s hardly possible to find a gamer who hasn’t heard of this MK legendary series. It’s not surprising because it is one of the most successful fighting game since the release of its original title in 1992.
Gameplay - 9/10
The game exists for more than twenty years so naturally, characters, chapters, scenes, and special moves evolved significantly over such an extensive period.
The developers decided to reveal the character of each hero like never before. There are 24 characters to choose from, and that’s if not to take into consideration the Kombat Pack. When you select a fighter, you get three matches to play it. In the very beginning, you can choose several additional skills for your character. Your choice will define your tactics in the fight even though the basic game mechanics won’t change significantly. You can now interact with different objects on the sparring place or with those elements, which were taken from Injustice.
The storyline isn’t too complex so that you could concentrate your attention on battling, which in fact is exceptionally brutal. It seems like the developers wanted to accentuate not so much the fighting moments as the extreme level of gore and violence.
There are in-app purchases of various artifacts in Crypt. You can invest money in MK for real, and you may even purchase Goro character if you’ve made a preorder. You can spend both real money as well as the gold that you’ve already earned. Also, in Crypt you have an option of purchasing clothes for your favorite fighters.
Graphics - 10/10
The graphics are so good that you may end up paying more attention to the bright and colorful scenes instead of concentrating on the battle. You might also get distracted by tons of pixelated blood, which realistically gushes from the damaged bodies of the defeated opponents.
Replay Value - 9/10
The game is bright and exciting enough to keep you wanting more and more fun time with MKX. Either you’re an avid Mortal Kombat player or a newcomer, you will surely have a good time no matter if you play against the computer or with your friends.
Controls - 9/10
Controls are super intuitive and user-friendly, but if you’re a beginner, the game will become enjoyable and easy to play only after you get through the instructions. Each hero has his own set of skills, so one has to know what corresponding keyboard shortcuts to use in order to get the most out of the game.
Mortal Kombat X is a perfect combination of great graphics, violence, and action, so the hype surrounding this game is completely well-deserved. MKX is arguably the best game in the series, which every single Mortal Kombat fan should have.
